Growing up in foster care, I received a purple, round karaoke machine for Christmas and I would play the instrumental version of “Lucky” on that purple round little karaoke machine, and just practice singing on my bedroom floor; over and over again… I would even record myself singing and then go back and listen to my voice to see how close I could get it to Britney’s.
