A large part of climbing is falling and all climbers will take falls. It’s a common saying that if you don’t fall, you’re not trying. Some people seem to take big falls without even flinching but for many of us the fear of falling is very real and that’s perfectly ok. It’s a natural instinct to be afraid of falling but as long as you and your belayer do everything properly you will always be ok. While it’s a basic instinct to be afraid of falling it can hold you back in developing your climbing
