A strong cold front is on track to arrive Saturday, bringing a shot of arctic air over the weekend. Highs on Saturday will struggle to reach the 30s and lows will drop into the teens and single digits. It will be dangerously cold Saturday night and Sunday night, because wind chills will be near or below zero.

The cold front that moved through Eastern Kentucky on Thursday is dropping temperatures as you head into Friday.

A FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY has been issued for Tuesday afternoon through mid-morning on Wednesday as accumulating snow is likely. These are big holiday travel days which has weighed into issuing the First Alerts.

First Alert Meteorologist Joi Alon says wind chills in the teens and single digits are still possible as winds can gust up to 25 mph this afternoon. If you are spending any time outdoors, please be sure to bundle up in many layers and avoid exposing your skin to the dangerously cold wind.

The IMD noted that temperatures fell below 5 degrees Celsius at many places in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh and adjoining areas, while parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh recorded minimums between 5 to 10 degrees Celsius.
