Dow surges 700 points, tops 49K for first time as Maduro capture sends Wall Street cheering
In midday trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average hit an all-time high, jumping 713 points, or 1.5%, to 49,095. The S&P 500 gained 0.8%, and the Nasdaq climbed more than 200 points, or 1%, to 23,458.
