How does the Subaru Repair Facility actually 'inspect' the fluids? There isn't any dip stick so it seems to me they have to change the oil in order to inspect it. Inspect it for 'what'? Back when I changed transaxle fluid I would take the pan of oil out into the direct sunlight and see if the oil sparkled.
Got this from Subaru Forester Forum: The CVT fill port for 2019+ models is on the right side of the transmission, not the left as shown in commonly provided pre-2019 Forester YouTube instructional videos posted on this site and elsewhere. "Right" means the right side as seen while sitting in the drivers seat, facing forward.
